Below are the answers to the most common frequently asked questions for Pilates ...

What do I need to bring to class?

You need to bring a mat and a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated. A small hand towel is also useful to pop under your head for extra cushioning/support in certain positions.

I have not done Pilates before, will I be able to do the class?

Yes! All classes are mixed ability and options are given for every move from beginner to those that are more experienced. You will be able to start at beginner level and progress as you become stronger and more flexible.

Do I have to book in advance or can I just drop in to a class?

Booking is essential as class spaces are limited to 12 per class. This is so that I can ensure optimum observation and correction/adaptation of movement so that everybody gets the most benefit out of the class.

What happens if I cannot attend one of the classes in the block of classes I have paid for?

If you are unable to make one of the classes within the paid for block, you have the option of attending one of my other classes (subject to space availability.) Classes should be made up within the same week, however, if this is not possible you should aim to attend another class within the same block of weeks.

I have an injury/medical condition. Can I still come to a class?

Before you begin any classes with me I will require you to complete a PAR-Q health questionnaire. If there are any serious medical issues or you have recently been injured, I would refer you to your GP to get medical clearance that it is safe for you to exercise. This would be the same procedure for any exercise facility.
